I spent the night pricing components for my HTPC. I already have a 200GB HDD and a Hauppage PVR150. I just need the computer to put them in. So it’s been fun looking at new PC components, and it looks like I’ll get to spend a little more than I originally thought, but I’m kind of getting stressed out over it. There are so many options, and I want to remain upgradeable without blowing my budget so I’m going to have to be careful. People are telling me I should definitely get a MoBo with firewire, but other than my wife’s iPod, I haven’t ever actually seen a firewire device in person.
But I think I am going to go with the AMD64… I’ve wanted one of those for an aweful long time. I’m going to keep at it and research probably all week.
